TECH / MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our most recent projects – the Caise Foundation Tech/Mentorship program. With  20 students applying for the mentorship program, only five students were selected to embark on the journey.  This program was an extension for the LASU visit and it provided students with career guidance, financial literacy classes, health and wellness activities, and job-search assistance.

The mentees were welcomed by Mr Derin Philips and congratulated for being the selected few to take on this journey. The mentees  were taken on a step by step  life assessment journey during the first week of the program, here are some of the topics being discussed( balancing  the 12 circles of life, the types of friends, creating a positive habit) which included a conversation with the facilitator (Derin) and practical tests after which assignments were given to them a welcome pack and refreshments were given.

To help with the life evaluation journey, The mentees visited Bulb Africa in the second week to learn about their various tech programs, the community, and to choose a training path. The mentees were welcomed by Co-Founder Wande Adams, and following a brief session with him, they were free to network with some tech experts.

The third and final week of the program was a review of what had been learned thus far; the mentees gave a presentation in which they discussed their tasks and their various personality badges. It was a bittersweet feeling at the end of the three-week mentorship program for not just the mentees but also for us all at Caise Foundation, but we have solace in knowing that they are conquering their world and utilizing the mentorship program’s teachings.
